Kayaking-Boating areas
Great Falls Lake
Great Falls Lake is one of the best-kept secrets in Middle Tennessee. The 1800-acre reservoir formed by Great Falls Dam offers 120 miles of shoreline and a wide variety of boating and fishing experiences. The reservoir lake area is 22 miles along the Caney Fork and 10 miles along the Collins River plus a short stretch along the Rocky River. It is home to the actual “Rock Island” located near the confluence of the Caney Fork and Rocky Rivers. Located near the entrance to Rock Island State Park is King’s Landing public boat ramp, it provides easy access as well as Cotten’s Marina.
Center Hill Lake
The boat ramp inside Rock Island State Park is where the tailwaters of Great Falls Dam create Center Hill Lake.
